BARABÁS—Jazz trumpeter in the microcosm of musical satellites
From Amsterdam to Budapest, Berlin, London, Lisbon, and New York, the Hungarian-born musician fills concert halls as a soloist and bandleader. His concerts reflect the interactions of life, touching the audience and creating moments of silence and enthusiasm. Barabas is like a powerhouse full of music that has something for everyone.
Lörinc Barabas, who grew up in a musical household, was given a synthesizer by his mother at the age of 11, after which he caught the attention of a teacher. He soon went to music school, where he discovered his passion for the trumpet as an instrument he could play autonomously with one arm.
From then on, the spell was broken, and Barabas explored the world of jazz and pop.
He studied jazz trumpet and had his own ensemble at an early age. For over 20 years, he has had a decisive influence on the Hungarian jazz scene. In addition to his solo concerts, he created a jazz quartet, a fusion band, and RANDOM, a special jam format.
He has made several guest appearances in Germany, including at the Xjazz Festival in Berlin.
His discography, with 12 record productions, is impressive. His next album, with the promising title ORBIT, invites listeners to encounter the cosmos of musical satellites in orbit. “The trumpet shall sound…”
